DeFi rug pulls often leave a public chain of contract deployments, liquidity removals and admin-key transactions. Those artifacts are evidence, even when identities remain obscure.
Preserve contract addresses, transaction hashes for deposits and withdrawals, and screenshots of the interface at the time of loss. Keep any promotional materials promising locked liquidity or audits.
Tracing may show tokens routed to bridges, mixers or centralized exchanges. Off-ramp touchpoints create the main openings for KYC-linked disclosure if the facts support lawful process.
Not every rug pull yields a proportionate civil strategy. Early review should test whether identifiable controllers, promoters or exchange deposits exist before heavy spend begins.
